Biography



Aygün -Ələsgər gızi- Kazımova is an Azeri singer, composer, pop musician and actress, one of the most famous folk singers in Azerbaijan.

She was born in Baku on January 26, 1971, the youngest of four children in the family and showed her talent in singing from an early age. Her professional solo career began in 1988, when she won the first prize at the music competition (Baku Autumn-88). In 1989 she won a prize in the Yurmala music competition and then in 1992 she won a prize in the music competition "The Voice of Asia", in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kazimova released her first album in 1997. Since then she has released ten albums, her most successful CD was"Aygun", she became "Honored Artist of Azerbaijan".



Along with singing, she has acted in films, presents TV shows and does charity work by giving free concerts.
