Ihab Darwish is a world-renowned composer from the United Arab Emirates who has managed to combine East and West in his music, traditional and modern orchestration in his creations. Darvis has been playing music since the age of ten and grew up in a family that supported his passion for music and composition.
In 2017 his music was performed by the Beethoven Academy Orchestra in Poland, recorded in the Alvernia studios by an orchestra of more than 140 musicians. His first album "Waves of My Life" was released in early 2018 and was distributed on international digital music platforms by Universal Music MENA. His first full-length orchestral work, Waves of my Life: Every Real Story Begins with a Note, was presented at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival on March 14, 2018 at the Emirates Palace.
In 2021 Darwish appeared at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival with Hekayat: Symphonic Tales. The show travels the world in 13 compositions played by 128 musicians in 20 countries, capturing the musical traditions and cultures of many different countries. Hekayat made history as the first show of its kind in the Emirates. In a marvel of technological sophistication, the performers, recorded separately in their home countries, were presented together as an orchestra on the stage of the luxurious Emirates Palace Amphitheater in Abu Dhabi. The individual performances were digitally synchronized and the innovative technology placed all 128 artists in a virtual 3D model of the stage.
